2017 was a busy year for Lord Neil Benjamin Gibson, as he relocated not only the majority of his business holdings but also his personal living to Dubai. The main reasoning behind this move was to be more appropriately physically positioned to have involvement in the emerging markets of the Middle East, which has recently been announced by Gibson as the primary area of focus for 2018. The end portion of the year was dedicated to getting business set up in the region, securing the necessary permits and documents as well as office space, and cultivating the relationships within the region that will be utilized on projects that have a specific skill set necessary. Gibson will continue in his primary business model of project management and structuring, the only difference being the focus on the new markets and several new directions as far as genres. Gibson plans to aggressively move into not only the real estate development spaces of the Middle East, but also work with small business incubation in order to further the growing tech entrepreneurial spirit that is found there. Few realize the advances within the tech space that have been cultivated within the Middle Eastern regions, with large scale projects in the computer science and international finance markets as well as the alternative energy spaces. Gibson plans to utilize his connections to develop emerging projects across all these genres.
Recently, Gibson put business on hold while he celebrated the holidays with friends and family in Leeds. It was an appropriate way to end 2017, takeing a few days off from the hectic schedule of philanthropy and development within the new regions. Now it is back to work!
